Cash is a truly exceptional gelding, standing at 16 hands, registered Kentucky Mountain, and stocky built with excellent conformation. Not to mention a true looker! He was born, raised, and trained here on our family farm. My son and grandbabies began to form a special bond with Cash at a very young age. They have all grown up together. Early on, we could tell there was something extraordinary about Cash. He never showed any foolishness, no buck or rear ever. Cash was broke to ride with ease and a gentle hand. He is intelligent, has a loving nature, and has a strong desire to please. He truly enjoys being around people. That hasn’t changed. Cash is so many things; it’s tough for me to put it into words. Most notably, he is loving, affectionate, kind, dependable, respectful, safe and gentle. Everyone at one point has said they have a once-in-a-lifetime type of horse. Granted, we’ve had a couple, too. But never a once-in-100-lifetimes kind of horse. To say Cash is a rare find would be a complete understatement; he leaves me speechless. You’ll not find another like him. In my lifetime, I’ve never seen or owned an all-around horse as good as Cash.
Cash is a horse the entire family can enjoy. He’s the horse that everyone wants to ride. No surprises; he will be the same horse whenever you get him out of the pasture. Whether it’s been a few months or a year since you’ve rode him last. That feeling of safety and security in having a horse that is that dependable is most times unattainable, but with Cash, it is. Look no further if you’re looking for the perfect gaited trail horse. Cash always cares for his riders, from the smallest children to full-grown adults. Cash is your guy if you’re looking for a genuinely safe equine partner, a horse that will love harder than a human.
Cash is always quiet and trustworthy when riding out alone or with a group of horses in the front, middle, or back of the pack. He doesn’t get excited or anxious when the other horses take off ahead of him, he could care less. He is a finished and seasoned trail horse on organized and local trail rides. We have had him everywhere! I honestly don’t believe there’s anything he hasn’t encountered on and off the trails. Cash has been in our local parades and attended many horse shows. Cash is totally relaxed with you in the saddle and has more whoa than go. Cash rides with a spur, sometimes needed because he is so laid back. Please don’t take that the wrong way; he will ride wherever you’d like to ride with or without a spur. He is completely SAFE for beginners. Cash has built confidence in so many small children. Too many children to count have learned how to ride on Cash. The true definition of a GENTLE GIANT. He is sure-footed on the trail and honest. He will walk through ditches, cross creeks, up mountains, across logs, swim through the river, and cross bridges. All of the children can crawl all over Cash and he doesn’t mind, he loves the attention. As many as can fit on his back can ride, as you’ll see in his lengthy video.
My favorite thing about him is his gentle and safe nature and his sweet loving in your pocket personality. My grandbabies 5, 7, 10, 11, and 12 love to ride Cash. They ride him bareback and bridle-less often, and they always fight about who gets to ride Cash first. Don’t worry about having trouble mounting Cash, you name it he will pull up for you to mount or dismount from it, step stool, ladder, bucket, mounting block, fence, gate, log, concrete bolder, ATV, tailgate, etc. Cash would excel in a field trial atmosphere; he loves hanging out with all my Golden Retrievers, running around him, and barking. He pays them absolutely no mind. He willingly picks up all four feet and stands quietly for the farrier, clipping, tacking up, and bathing. He loads in the trailer with no issues and backs out perfectly; the kids can easily load and unload him. It’s worth noting that he also hauls quietly and stands tied quietly, with no-nonsense pawing or anxious attitude about him. He is just truly a wonderful horse to be around. He is quiet and clean in the stall and gets along well with my young colts and broodmares in the pasture. Cash is well-trained, has a nice 4-beat gait, and will lope when asked. He has a nice one-hand neck rein and backs on command. He has been ridden in town many times and is ultimately traffic-safe. He pays no mind to barking dogs, ATVs, motorcycles, cars/trucks, lawnmowers, tractors, the noise, or any other commotion he encounters. You can also shoot a gun or crack a whip off of Cash. He is almost bombproof. You can catch Cash anywhere out in the pasture. He is not a horse you will ever have to bait or run down. Most times, he will catch you first if he sees you nearby or give him a holler, and he will come running.
Take Cash home, and he will be your built-in babysitter. The sky is the limit with him. Please watch his lengthy video; you will be satisfied. What you see is exactly what you get. Cash has been a blessing to our family for many years. As much as it saddens us, please know the decision to offer him another home has not been taken lightly. It has been extremely hard on our entire family, especially our grandbabies. We thank God for allowing us to love and be loved by Cash for as long as we have. He has brought pure joy and happiness to our lives, as I know he will yours. Someone is getting an opportunity many will not have in this lifetime.
