Don the Oakleys – “yeah, you might need a pair of Oakleys to look at this pretty boy” is a 2022 Registered Friesian Blood Horse gelding. His sire is a registered purebred Friesian, and his dam is a Percheron cross. Don has the right start to go almost anywhere in his life. Don has worked for most of his life and enjoys attention. He is doing very well under saddle and has been hooked to a cart a few times. He will pick up both leads and move on and off your seat and leg cues. He will cross logs, water, and bridges. He has also been on the road and handles traffic well. He has worked with cattle and many other animals. Don is a very smooth ride with his nice flat movement; he is super easy to sit on. We have ridden him in English and Western tack. He looks beautiful in both. With his black coat and flowing tail, he is sure to catch your eye. We have taken him over low jumps. He is always willing to try. Don has been a fun horse to work with, with his easy-going personality. Don would be a great trail partner, OR he could do a little dressage or jumping.
