Elvis is a 6y/o, 17-hand Percheron Gelding and is honest as the day is long! Elvis is athletic! He neck reins, moves off your leg, lopes circles both ways and is handy broke. We have used him to carry the flag in the opening ceremonies at our local saddle club, and he also participates in the fun classes. He even snatched a first-place win in the Western pleasure this past weekend! Elvis is 100% safe! If you can hold the reins, you can ride him. He has zero spook, is very confident, and is willing to do whatever is asked of him. He has carried our children and all levels/ages of riders. He even totes our seven-month-old son with us around the barrel pattern at the horse shows and on trails. I trust him that much! He has been exposed and is super comfortable/safe around four-wheelers, tractors, kids, strollers, flags, banners, tarps, ropes, traffic, wildlife, other pets, and livestock. He is not buddy-sour in the slightest. He can ride alone or in a group. He is the same horse in town as he is at home. Ground ties for bathing. He loves it! Stands tied/cross-tied all day! He loads and unloads in a regular-size slant trailer with rear tack, with no issues! Hauls great stands for grooming and stands for the farrier. Nothing phases this guy! Elvis is versatile! We have used him to gather calves from the field, pasture rope, and work cattle in the arena, and he will drag anything! My daughter ropes the dummy and tries out all her roping tricks on this guy…he doesn’t mind a bit! On the trail, she is calm and cool. Crosses water, limbs, logs… anything in front of him. He also drives single and double if wagon rides are your thing. He does have a cosmetic scar on his rear lower left leg that has been there his entire life. The hair is ruffled in his feathering. It causes zero issues, and he is 100% sound.
The possibilities are endless with ELVIS! Ranching, roping, fun shows, trails, obstacle courses, parades, lessons, wagon rides, and he would make a beautiful wedding carriage horse! Make sure to check out his video! If you have any further questions or want to meet this gorgeous guy in person, we would be glad to have you! He sure is something to see! For more info, call Jamie Thomason. He is located in Auburn, KY.
