I would like to introduce Ivory Quick Trigger, a 10-year-old registered TWH gelding standing 15.2 hh on four keg shoes. He is up to date on all vaccinations, and his teeth were floated a couple of months ago. He’s a beautifully built, stocky sorrel with a flaxen mane and tail. “Trigger,” as we call him at the barn, is a seasoned, been-there-done-that trail horse. He has seen it all and handles everything as well as any horse you’ll find. He has an amazing gait and is incredibly smooth to ride. He’s been shown at local fun shows and brings home top ribbons every time. He’s also been on overnight camping trips, ties on a high line with no issues, and takes everything in stride. He will confidently and safely tackle hills up or down and takes care of both himself and his rider. He’ll cross creeks, bridges, and logs without hesitation! Trigger will meet you at the gate and is easy to catch. He loves attention and being groomed. He’s broke to stand in hobbles, works to a cart single or double, and is trained to park out for mounting. He’ll also step to a mounting block or tailgate to pick you up. He’s desensitized to gunfire, bull whips, and tarps. He backs with just a light touch to the mouth, stands perfectly still to mount, and won’t move off until asked. He loads and backs off the trailer easily, enjoys baths, and stands for haircuts. He tacks up quietly and rides in a simple snaffle bit. He’ll walk on a loose rein all day or step into a smooth 4-beat gait with ease. He’s been ridden in all types of traffic even right beside trains and has never spooked. He’s been around farm equipment, cattle, wildlife, and dogs, and handles it all without concern.
