About Horse:
HAUGEN-HILL DS CAPTIVATE, fondly known as Tater, is a 2014 Shire Horse Gelding standing 17hh and tipping the scales at 2,000 lbs! This stunning bay gelding is beautifully marked with four white socks and a blaze. With a full, thick mane and forelock that goes on for miles. Don’t let his size fool you. Tater is an absolute love and easy to handle. He lowers his head for haltering and picks his feet up effortlessly for grooming. Tater stands quietly and is a gentleman on the ground with excellent manners. Under saddle he is even better, with a fancy handle, this gelding moves easily off bit and leg pressure. Tater has lovely movement at all gaits, side passes, and backs and picks up his leads easily. Tater has been shown in both English and Western classes; no stranger to the show pen or its routine, you’ll find him sensible on the road and easy to haul. With time off Tater rides just as willingly as if he is ridden daily, he is the same horse every time. Tater bathes and clips easily and enjoys being pampered. His luscious locks and feathered legs steal the show on the bathing day and are the envy of the barn. Standing 17hh, Tater is big but not too big; he loads easily in a regular trailer and is easy to maneuver in the barn, the perfect size to enjoy! In Turnout he turns heads and stops traffic, this horse is beautiful to watch canter freely through the field. Tater is sensible during pasture time and easy to catch when brought up to stall. Across the fence from other horses, Tater is kind and patient, making him an excellent neighbor and barn mate. Whether it’s arena work or down the trail, Tater goes willingly where you point him. A beautifully broke and safe horse, he is easy to get to know and suitable for a wide range of skill-level riders. Tater makes the perfect Dream Horse with his docile nature, good manners, and easy riding. If you’re looking to enjoy a heavy-bodied horse that is as gorgeous as he is usable, look no further!OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 2/12 @ 3:30 PM CT.
