About Horse:One of the hardest decisions I have had to make. Due to my declining health, and my sons lack of interest, the best thing to do is give Conner the life he needs.
He is unregistered , mare was A.Q.H.A. and sire was Appendix quarter horse.
I first used him as a trail horse and a horse to pony yearlings off of. He was so good at ponying the worst behaved yearlings, that my friend used him to pony racehorses at Santa Anita for a year. I didn't like the fact that he was kept in a box stall at the track, as much as they wanted him, I felt it was time to bring him home.
My son who is not much of a rider wanted to do 4-h, so he showed Conner in every class at 4-h shows and did great. He was the go to horse for all the 4-h kids, aged 6-12 yrs old. This horse has the patients of a saint. My son decided to do wrestling and lost interest in riding, and I have an injury that makes it hard to ride.
Conner is sound with clean legs and good hooves, goes barefoot most of the time, unless we do rough trail riding we put front shoes on to prevent chipping.
This is the ideal family horse, every family member can ride and be safe.
