About Horse:Sammy is our 5 year old QH gelding, he stands at 14.1 hands tall. Sammy is one of those horses that doesn't come along very often. Zero fuss, quiet, willing and in your pocket personality. Not only does he ride softly and easily in any bit, he drives like it's all he's ever done!
Sammy is a trail master, has been on countless trails and camping, leads or follows, rides out in a group or alone. He sidepasses, collects if you ask him or carries his head nice and low in the lope. He picks up the lope and both leads with very light cues, listens to leg aids, nice soft and supple! Ride him in an arena, in the field, or out on a trail he's happy anywhere.
Sammy is safe and ready for anyone to drive, experienced or not. He is road safe, has pulled wagons, carts and buggies. He's happy to walk but will pickup a trot in harness when you ask. He will also pickup a nice soft canter in harness, handles the turns very well, and drops back down to a trot or walk the second you ask. Stops easily and anywhere you ask him, stands quiet for hitching. Just as soft and supple pulling a cart as he is under saddle!
Sammy is the kind of horse you can leave out in the field for any amount of time, pull him out and it's like you never got off. He was in the field for a month prior to taking the videos we have available and no warm up work was needed. Sound and safe, no vices or bad habits. No kick, rear, bite or buck, and friendly with other horses. He has a minor scar on his left shoulder, it doesn't affect him in any way, he got it before we got him. He stands to be tied, great for farrier and vet, good with bathing and loading. Safe for the whole family. Take him and work cows, teach lessons off him, trail ride him or compete in CDE, he can do it all! Asking $7000 or best offer. Price reflects the caliber of horse and training he has, however the price is negotiable. Selling due to no fault of his own, downsizing the herd. He is not registered. Calls preferred, videos available. Call to setup a day/time to come ride him, we have an indoor arena so weather is not an issue! 270-473-1388 (no texts)
